Day 5
Counting It All Loss
Scripture: Philippians 3:7–8
"I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord." — Philippians 3:8
The most educated, most pedigreed, most religiously accomplished man of his generation counted it all — "as loss... as rubbish" — that he might gain Christ.
Paul did not stumble into emptiness. He chose it. Deliberately. Intentionally. He looked at everything the world considered impressive and said — none of it compares to knowing Him.
This is not false humility. This is Kingdom mathematics. In God's economy, what you lay down is always worth less than what He places in your hands.
What credentials are you still carrying? What reputation are you still protecting? What accomplishments are you still leaning on? Paul says — let them go. The surpassing worth of knowing Christ makes everything else pale in comparison.
Prayer
Father, I lay down my credentials, my reputation, and my accomplishments at Your feet. I count them all as loss for the excellence of knowing You. Fill the space they occupied with the fullness of Christ. In His matchless name, Amen. 🙏
